BlueShoe's tester has this to say about the Fairfield Inn
Summary of visit (made in mid-March 2026): Fairfield Inn & Suites Nashville Near Vanderbilt is a modern hotel conveniently located in the charming midtown area near Vanderbilt and Centennial Park. This Fairfield location lives up to the best of the Marriott brand name, providing a comfortable respite for travelers in a desirable, walkable neighborhood and offering an array of amenities (breakfast, gym, pool, laundry facilities, small store, and comfortable rooms). The Fairfield fits well among our BlueShoe hotel inventory, giving clients a budget-friendly option without compromising quality. One compromise our CMA Fest clients will have to make concerns the distance of Fairfield Inn from downtown and the Festival venues: the hotel is nearly 2.5 miles from those venues and that puts it out of walking distance. Without the benefit of a hotel shuttle to downtown and back, these clients must rely on rideshare, public transportation, or driving themselves.
Location: Adjacent to Centennial Park and a short walk from Vanderbilt University, the midtown location has much going for it, including an array of restaurants, a pharmacy, coffee shop, & small shopping center all within easy walking distance. It is, however, about 2.5 miles from downtown and the CMA Fest venues.
Cleanliness and service: The hotel was pristine and it was obvious that the property was new and up-to-date. All hotel employees with whom we interacted were kind and helpful. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the hotel staff were available to answer any questions.
Breakfast & other amenities: The breakfast was simple but well-prepared and satisfying. (Katye—can you give a fuller description of the breakfast?) The hotel has an outdoor pool, a well-stocked gym, laundry facilities, and a printer in the lobby. The spacious lobby area included a billiards table, along with many seating options, and even a small outdoor seating area. There is also a small store with Nashville-related t-shirts (including swag from local universities), over-the-counter medications, snacks, drinks, and even a beer fridge. The parking garage was conveniently located under the hotel, with an elevator that allowed guests to bypass the lobby and go directly to their floor.
Accommodations: Rooms include a microwave, mini fridge, and Keurig coffemaker, along with a comfortable work desk and chair.
