Monell's Dining
Southern food is served family style in a historic setting (a 19th-century Victorian house).The table service is communal at Monell's. All items are passed around the table and the staff at Monell's replenishes an empty bowl. Each day's menu includes 2-3 meats (the fried chicken is legendary), 3-4 salads, 4-5 hot vegetables, drink (including of course iced tea) and dessert.
While driving around in 1995, owner Michael King took a wrong turn and happened upon a beautiful, Victorian 1880 home. No money, unemployed and 5 gold credit cards, and a lot of faith, Michael decided to make a restaurant out of this historic house. Monell's opened on Thanksgiving day in 1995 and the rest, as they say, is history.

Hours :: Lunch Mon-Fri 10:30 am -2 pm; Dinner Tue-Sat 5:00 pm -8:30 pm; Country Breakfast Sat 8:30 am -1:00 pm, Sun 8:30 am -11 am; Sunday meal 11:00 am -4:00 pm. Does notserve dinner from December 1-23, due to their Victorian Christmas Celebration. First come, first serve. No reservations.
