The summer's winding down and the nights are beginning to lull us with the hint of coolness. Thank goodness. Fall, even if it is a bit stifling still, must be near since Vanderbilt plays Georgia Tech in Atlanta this Saturday in the Commodores' season opener. Then there's cows, and pigs, and homemade pies--oh my at The Tennessee State Fair. Plus rides aplenty and carnival booths. The Fair opens a week from Friday, on Sept. 6 and runs through Sept. 15.
The
last of the season's peaches and watermelons, along with plenty
of other delectably fresh produce, await at the Nashville Farmer's
Market.
And there's still free music on Wed. evenings at the invigorating Uptown Mix and plenty of good programs coming up at the Ryman.
